Relational Issues

Do you feel unsatisfied in your relationships, whether those be with a partner, friends or family?

Have you found yourself continually repeating the same patterns that end your relationships or leave you distressed?

Are you stuck in the same dynamics with those in your life and do not know how to set limits or boundaries?

Relationships are hard work, requiring dedication and effort! While it may sound like a cliché, it is undeniably true. Relationship challenges can happen not only between romantic partners but also with family, friends and colleagues. Concerns with others can arise quickly if we are not sure what we need in our relationships and how to articulate that need or when roles in the dynamic change (i.e. change in career, family addition, etc).

There is a constant dance between maintaining our independence and the irresistible joy, excitement, and necessity of human connections. From a young age, we learn from those who care for us and adopt the strategies we observe. Our task is to discern which strategies work for us, discard the ones that don't, and embrace new ways of relating that bring about new potential and change.
